Abstract

Normative data are presented for responses to 39 verbal categories by Flemish first-year psychology students of the University of Leuven. The categories are a subset of the set used in the seminal paper of Battig and Montague (1969). Complete data are presented for all responses given by 120 participants to each category label within 30 sec. Additional data include the number of times each response was generated first and the mean rank of each response. Furthermore, for every category an estimate of the reliability of the frequencies and the correlation between the frequency and the mean rank is presented.
